The glass curtain wall has the advantages of light and beautiful, not easy to pollute, and energy saving. Under the reflection of light, the room is not exposed to strong light, and the vision is soft. But what people are most concerned about is the safety performance of the glass curtain wall. So what kind of glass is generally used for curtain walls to meet safety standards?
The glass used in the glass curtain wall must be a safety glass, mainly tempered glass, laminated glass, hollow glass, fireproof glass, solar control coated glass and low-emission coated glass (LOW-E), etc.
Here are few requirements that are necessary while installing curtain walls.
- The curtain wall should use safety glass, and the glass thickness should not be less than 6mm. The thickness of the rib glass of the all-glass curtain wall is not less than 12mm.
- When the glass curtain wall adopts heat reflection coated glass, vacuum magnetron cathode sputtering coated glass or online thermal spraying coated glass should be used.
- If the curtain wall adopts hollow glass, it should adopt double sealing.
- If laminated glass is used for the curtain wall, the thickness of the laminated film (PVB) should not be less than 0.76mm.
